USPS Snow Removal Rules

The United States Post Office requires home owners to remove snow and ice and to have a safe path for letter carriers to safely deliver your mail. They also require curbside mailboxes to be cleared of snow for Postal Service trucks as well. The USPS requires a 30 foot approach. 15 feet before your mailbox and 15 feet after the mailbox.

The Slide Me Out mailbox bracket is a simple way to meet the requirements of the USPS. The “Slide Me Out” mailbox bracket allows you to slide the mailbox to the edge of the snowbank which will help to reduce the amount of time spent meeting the requirements.
